Understanding the need
Our journey began when Adesewa witnessed the quiet struggles of girls in local communities.
Our core pillars
01
Comprehensive, age-appropriate, and scientific education covering puberty, safe hygiene protocols, and breaking local taboos.
02
Direct distribution of premium, chemical-free, biodegradable, or reusable pads — ensuring a consistent supply girls can count on.
03
Safe avenues for women, local leaders, and men to collaboratively address menstrual stigma and break taboos.
04
Advocating for clean water stations, discrete disposal bins, and dignity rooms in partner schools.
Our founder
Founding Director
“ For a long time, I was the girl who had none. Growing up, I did not get my first period when everyone else did. While the girls around me experienced menstruation, I remained on the outside looking in...”
“Menstruation is a beautiful biological reality and a symbol of human vitality. It must never represent a sentence of shame or exclusion.”
